Martha Ross

The mother of all television presenters. Well, at least two of them.

After years as a radio presenter, a career as a market stall trader in Walford’s Albert Square, roles in Grange Hll, Barrymore, The Sean Hughes Show and a leading role as the mother of the famous Ross dynasty, including the effervescent Jonathan, Martha Ross is back on our screens, and this time she is not selling dodgy goods in EastEnders…

Martha is presenting six episodes of Celebrity Parents SOS for Tern TV. Martha’s ‘can-do’ attitude throws down the gauntlet to get Britons fending for themselves and sets off the series to a brilliant start.

The world is rapidly becoming a faster, more consumer-driven place where people feel it’s easier to throw money, rather than hard work, at a problem. The ‘make-do-and-mend’ attitude of old seems to have been consigned to the past and traditional skills such as cooking, gardening, needlework and carpentry are being forgotten. But a group of resourceful parents are determined to rectify the situation.

Sky Real Lives presents a recession-busting series which follows nine celebrity parents who, between them, have raised some of Britain’s brightest and most successful talents, including Jeremy Clarkson, Sarah Beeny, Charlotte Church and Vinnie Jones.

Tern TV have told us they are delighted with Martha’s performance. Not only does she run the presentation coherently and with style, she is an unstoppable font of useful information, in fact, praise must also go to the editor!

Martha is a boon to the younger participants in the show and connects with younger viewers; she has to be the coolest grandmother on TV.

But don’t just take our word for it.
